A Virginia man topped chocolates and flowers for Valentine's Day — by giving his wife his $10 million lottery ticket.
Maria Chicas' husband bought the Extreme Millions Scratcher ticket at the In & Out Mart on Mathis Avenue in Manassas a few days before Valentine's Day, the state lottery said. The odds of winning the top prize were 1 in 2,937,600.
After realizing he had a winner, Maria's husband called her to share the good news. Her initial reaction was, "you're lying!" But he was not kidding, and the winning ticket soon became (by some definitions) the most romantic valentines day gift ever.
