Luke Combs recently promised fans that new music would be “coming out really soon,” and now he’s sharing what’s taking so long.
Luke’s second album “What You See Is What You Get” was released in 2019, and in a recent interview ahead of the Daytona 500, he said making his new record has “been a long process."
"I was working on it really hard before this tour we did in the fall,” he explains, noting that when the tour started, and with increasing COVID variants, he had to focus keeping everything safe so it could continue.
"I kinda took a pause on working on [the album] because I just really wanted to focus on that tour," he says, noting that by doing so he didn’t have to cancel one show. He adds, "It was nice to be able to just focus on that, and that's been the reason the album's not out yet."
As for the new album, Luke says, “Man, it's just gonna be real good. I've been working hard on it for a long time."
