Sometimes we love wandering the aisles of Target, but other times, we’d rather just have our stuff brought to us while we sit in the comfort of our car, which is why we love curbside pickup. The only thing that we miss with it is the Starbucks coffee we can get inside the store, but that’s all about to change.
Starting this fall, Target will be testing an option at certain locations for customers to add a Starbucks order to their pickup order. That means they’ll bring the drinks and snacks you order right to your car, along with your laundry detergent and throw pillows. Target says adding Starbucks curbside pickups has been a “top request” from customers, so they’re finally going to give it a try. Shoppers can order on the Target app and let them know when they’re “on their way” to make sure their order is fresh.
But that’s not the only change they’re making to entice us to stay in our cars and shop:
- Target is also going to test curbside returns.
- And they’re expanding their “backup item” options on order pickups. Customers can choose a backup item to replace their first choice if it’s not available. Target says they’ve “successfully substituted backup items 98% of the time” since it’s been in use.
- They’ve also recently expanded curbside services to let shoppers pick up alcohol with their order.
