The Food and Drug Administration has expanded Abbott Nutrition's baby formula recall to include one lot of Similac PM 60/40.
Health officials are investigating a new case of Cronobacter sakazakii, in which a baby died. That case was linked to exposure of a powdered formula produced at the company’s facility in Sturgis, Michigan. The formula consumed featured the lot code 27032K800.
The previous Abbott Nutrition recall was announced February 17th, and included select lots of Similac, Alimentum and EleCare formulas. Source: USA Today
