We can understand if employers get upset when workers are constantly late, but one boss is being blasted for how he plans to punish his tardy employees.
Someone on Reddit posted a picture of a sign with his boss’ new policy on lateness, captioning it “Shout out the worst place I ever worked (minimum wage, of course)." On the sign, the boss explains that, “for every minute you are late for work, you will be required to work for 10 minutes after 6pm,” noting, “for example, if you arrive at 10:02, you will have to stay an extra 20 minutes until 6:20pm. Thanks."
- As you can imagine, the post drew quite a reaction from social media, with thousands of people sharing their thoughts.
- “That seems really dumb and highly illegal,” one person commented, while another added, "I'd tell them to f*** off."
- But not everyone disagreed with the boss’ new policy.
- “It’s honestly so easy to show up on time though… like. I get to work 10 minutes early,” one person shared, while another added, "How about being on time? Quit your whining."
