Carrie Underwood being sued over hit song

A pair of Canadian songwriters claim they composed a song in 2012 titled “Something in the Water” that they sent to Carrie's team to see if she’d be interested in cutting, but didn’t hear back. Now, Georgia Lyons and Ronald McNeill have filed a lawsuit against Carrie Underwood saying her hit song with the same name is “structurally and lyrically identical, and substantially  similar melodically” to their track, according to the TennesseanUnderwood has not issued a statement regarding the lawsuit or the songwriters’ claims.
