Luke Combs is gearing up for his first CMA appearance as a nominee for the New  Artist of the Year award and shares "I’m  stoked to have my parents there and have them kind of see the whole magic of the show and the red carpet and everything so it’ll be wild man  we’ll see how it goes.

Thomas Rhett's singer/songwriter dad Rhett Akins will be in the audience. His wife Lauren will join him --- and maybe even his daughters!  "I might have to bring 'em just for one  picture, just to say we did," Thomas tells ABC Radio.

Now that Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher has retired from hockey, he'll  finally be able to attend the award show. "I'll actually have a date this year. My husband's coming!" Carrie tells ABC's Ginger Zee. Brad Paisley chimed in, "That's right, he's unemployed."
