Circuit City announced earlier this week the company will re-launch on February 15, 2018.
The electronic company says with the launch will feature new shopping experiences using "cutting-edge technology."
The company will launch online and then eventually expand to brick-in-mortar stores and kiosks. Circuit City CEO Ronny Shmoel wants the website to "allow the products to find the consumers" while they browse. The site will feature virtual vignettes, search-by-photo, augmented reality, online chat and more to help consumers make buying decisions.
Like the former version of the store, Shmoel noted that there will be a curated line of computers, TVs, gaming, imaging, and appliances from major brands like Samsung, Panasonic, Canon and more. The company will also partner with Skinny IT to help with home installations for customers.
The company has distribution centers around the United States in place and will also partner up with drop-shipping partners.
