They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but what about flames in your wedding limo? On Saturday, a bride and groom in Halifax experienced just such a mishap when their limo burst into flames while they were taking pictures in the city's Public Gardens around 2 p.m. "When they came out, they were pretty upset," said Staff Sgt. Bill Morris of the Halifax Regional Police. "But then, you know, they got thinking [that] nobody was hurt, the wedding went off...it's all good. It will make for some good stories in the years to come and probably tonight at the reception." The inferno destroyed their marriage certificate, but luckily, nobody was injured in the blaze. "Everything is burnt, everything is toast," said Capt. Darren Jones. "It had such intense heat...there's nothing really left to investigate." On the plus side, the wedding party was escorted to their venue in police cars.
