A man is under arrest after opening a plane's emergency door last night at Newark Liberty Airport.
United Flight 1640 from Newark to Tampa saw a five hour delay in takeoff because of a man who panicked when he realized he was on the wrong flight. The man opened an emergency exit door, popped an exit slide and slid down to get off the flight.
Police arrested the man, who continued to yell he was on the wrong plane. He was, indeed, ticketed for that flight. United switched passengers to another plane which finally got to Florida early this morning.
