With West Virginia schools closed again today, here on the Chris and Rosie Show, we've learned from the many years of working with the local food banks -- for many of the students across America, the one meal they can count on having each day is the one they get at school. Some local businesses in West Virginia are offering free lunch for the students today . . .
Torlones in Harpers Ferry will offer free lunch for students of Jefferson County today from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m.
Kubic Construction, in Kearneysville, West Virginia, is giving back to the students of Jefferson and Berkeley Counties. Kubic Construction recognizes the importance of feeding our students so they can remain strong in the pursuant of their academics, and support our teachers as they pursue equality in their profession. This could not be possible without the support of Dairy Queen (Peterson Enterprises) and Pizza City. They welcome any and all support from local businesses in this endeavor. Students will only be required to register their name and grade and they entrust families will honor one visit per student. They love our counties and understand that our future is dependent on the success of our youth. In understanding that some students only daily meal maybe school lunch, they want to ensure that all students have a lunch on Tuesday. Kubic Construction, Dairy Queen, and Pizza City, are honored to give back to the students of Berkeley and Jefferson Counties.
