Minnesota Toddler Is Allergic To Water

We all know water is essential to sustain life; so what happens when you’re allergic to it?

Little Ivy Angerman is allergic to water.  She has an extremely rare condition, Aquagenic Urticaria, which causes her to break out in hives when water touches her body.  That includes her own tears and sweat.  Imagine never being able to swim or even walk in the rain unprotected.

The girl's mother tells "People" she’s concerned for her future as the condition could progress to her not being able to drink water.  For now, her only recommended treatment is antihistamines, which the baby takes on her bath days.  Her mother, Brittany Angerman, has created a GoFundMe page to help the family move into a house with a purified water system and air conditioning, to reduce the severity of Ivy's allergic reactions.
