A couple’s wedding day is one of the most important days of their lives, which is why they often take tons of pictures of their first moments as husband and wife. And for one couple, that included a trip to Target.
Michael Delvalle and Isabella Sablan of Miami, Florida, took their first photos as husband and wife at their local Target. And it’s not that the pair just love a good bargain, it seems the discount store played a huge part in their love story. The newlyweds met when they were only 19 while working at Hollister, and they say that during their eight-year courtship they went to Target so much they felt the store needed to be a part of their wedding day.
"The basis of our relationship is built on Target. We probably go two to three times a week. We like long walks at Target instead of on the beach,” the bride said, while the groom added, “when we needed something to do on a slow Thursday night, Target was always there with open doors,” noting, “Target always knew what was best for us and it never failed to send us home without some sort of delicious treat, household good, or one of those beautiful red tag clearance items that now consume our entire home decor. Even if we didn’t need anything.”
While you’d think some photographers may have found the setting odd, theirs was all in, saying he liked the chance to “highlight love in a common everyday setting.” Photos show the couple trying on sunglasses, riding a bike, sharing a slushie and even looking at frozen pizzas.
The couple love the store so much, the groom joked, “It’s too bad we can’t throw our reception in Target because then that would truly be the frosting on the Market Pantry cake” Check out the photos here.
