You know those build-a-bear stores at the mall, well now you can get in on the fun of creating your own custom design, but instead of a stuffed animal, you can make your own handbag. British designer Anya HIndmarch is letting people come up with their own “it” bag with her new Build a Bag collection.
You can play designer on Nordstrom’s and Hindmarch’s websites and also in some Nordstrom stores. You can choose the base you like, the handle, strap, and accessories, so it’s totally one-of-a-kind. That means no chance of anyone else carrying the same purse as you.
But this DIY bag is a bit of a splurge. A mini base starts at $745, a small at $1,095, and the large at $1,250. That’s definitely not budget-friendly for most of us, but this is a one-of-a kind bag. And if that’s totally out of your price range, keep rocking that bag off the rack, just like the rest of us.
