Millions of people deal with panic and anxiety every day, and celebrities are among them.
Carson Daily recently opened up about battling panic attacks. He says the first happened while hosting “Total Request Live” on MTV. He had no idea what was going on, but has since found something that works for him to control them.
You know Carson from The “Today Show” and host of “The Voice”. He uses muscle retention and relaxation. If you have anxiety or panic attacks, try these steps:
- Put your arms out in front of you.
- Tighten your hands into fists, and clench your arm muscles from your forearm up to your biceps.
- Squeeze as hard as you can, like you're lifting a weight, for five to 10 seconds.
- Then release the tension.
If you aren’t sure your symptoms are regular stress or an anxiety disorder -- if it’s debilitating, it’s a disorder. It’s best to talk with a professional to help get a handle on it.
