In the rush of planning for her upcoming 200-person wedding this June, Cassandra Warren mistakenly wrote the wrong address on her aunt and uncle’s wedding invitation. The invitation recently came back to her with a kind note from a stranger and $20 tucked inside.
The handwritten note on the return envelope reads: “I wish I knew you - this is going to be a blast. Congratulations - go have dinner on me. I’ve been married 40 years - it gets better with age.”
The bride-to-be was having a tough day and the sweet note really made her day. She returned the favor by writing a card to thank the kind stranger for taking the time to send the invitation back. Cassandra wrote, “I am thankful for people like you still being in the world.”
