Fewer Americans say their federal income taxes are too high. A new Gallup poll says that only 45-percent of Americans feel the taxes they pay are too high. That's down four percent from last year, and is the lowest percentage since 2012. Even though fewer feel they're being over-taxed, 52-percent of Americans disapprove of the new tax law that gives tax cuts to most of the middle and upper-class.
While the numbers are fine, if you break them down, Republicans are driving the change with only 45-precent saying their taxes are too high. That’s down by 62-percenta year ago. Democrats meanwhile have 49-percent saying their taxes are too high.
