FOX 5’s ZIP TRIP IS COMING TO WINCHESTER ON JULY 20th
6 – 11 a.m.
Join FOX 5 “Good Day DC” Anchors Tucker Barnes, Annie Yu, and Kevin McCarthy at the Loudon Street Mall
Tucker will kick off Friday’s broadcast from the main set before heading over to the Civil War Courthouse to speak with Terry Heder of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Association and then the Bright Box Theatre to interview Josh Huff.
At 7, Annie and Kevin will join and say hello to Fox 5 fans as Tucker provides weather updates and meets with Cathy Loranger, the Director of Marketing at Shenandoah University. Around 7:45, the FOX 5 team will present their “5 Must Stops” in Winchester.
In the 8 a.m. hour, Kevin and Annie will be joined by Winchester Mayor John David Smith and will put his knowledge of the town to the test with a trivia contest. At 8:50, Annie will speak withChristian Schweiger, the co-owner of Bonnie Blue, to talk about his barbecue and farm to fork menu items.
Shortly after 9, Kevin will meet with Dave Spence to discuss different real estate in the area. At 9:30, as part of “Tucker Tries It,” he will try juggling with guest Drew Van Laeken from Incredible Flying Objects. For First Responders Friday, Annie will talk to the town’s dedicated public safety personnel including the Winchester Police Officers. At the end of the hour, Kevin will introduce General Manager Theresa Gaines from Firefly Café.
