The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
* Flood Warning for... Northern Frederick County in northwestern Virginia...
* Until 700 PM EDT.
* At 230 PM EDT, flooding was reported in the vicinity of Hayfield, with flooding on Hayfield Road. Although rain was not especially heavy in this portion of the county, upstream flood waters will move through this area and flood conditions may worsen through late afternoon.
* Some locations that may experience flooding include... Gore, Whitacre, Cross Junction, Gainesboro, Cedar Grove and Rock Enon Springs.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
