The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall on several types of fresh fruit sold by Walmart, Costco, and Aldi due to a possible listeria contamination.
They said the fruit was distributed in Alabama, California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia.
Specifically for Virginia, the fruit has been sold at Aldi and Walmart stores.
According to the FDA, no illnesses have been reported.
The recall was a result of a routine sampling program that revealed the finished products contained the bacteria.
Shoppers who purchased the fruit are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
