Parents discover suicide tips in videos on YouTube Kids

Youtube is facing more problems over its kids channel.

Nestle, Disney and Epic Games are pulling their ads off of YouTube after a video blogger pointed out that they’re appearing next to offensive content. Blogger Matt Watson pointed out in a video that has been viewed nearly two million times that commentators are flagging moments when girls appear in compromising positions and called it a soft-core pedophile ring.

YouTube said it deleted the offending accounts. Watson said the videos themselves were not the problems, but the comments were the issue. Advertising usually appears next to videos based on an algorithm. YouTube issued a statement saying any content that endangers minors is abhorrent and prohibited.

Meanwhile, there’s another problem with Youtube and it has to do withclips of how to commit suicidebeing spliced into the middle of Youtube Kids videos. The nine second clip shows kids how to slit their throat for a successful suicide. A pediatrician in Florida found the segment and contacted the video giant.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people ages 10 through 34. If you need a how to on flagging inappropriate content clickhere.
