...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING

TO 2 AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...4 to 7 inches of snow expected.

* WHERE...Portions of western Maryland, eastern West Virginia,

and the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

* WHEN...From 10 AM today until 2 AM EST Monday. Snow will

overspread the area between 9 AM and 11 AM this morning. Snow

will be heaviest between 2 PM and 7 PM this afternoon and

evening, with snowfall rates around one inch per hour expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult due to snow

covered and slippery roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather

conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you

must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your

vehicle in case of an emergency.

When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on

steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery,

increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
