Bus Driver Blames Bad Doughnut On DWI Arrest

There is nothing worse than eating a bad batch of doughnuts and getting arrested for DWI. Not really sure what those two things have in common but a Texas school bus driver was charged with driving while intoxicated and blamed her erratic driving on a doughnut that made her “sick."Linda Godejohn denied that she was drunk when she was pulled over around 2 p.m. last week Thursday with students on the bus. “I wasn’t [drunk]. My stomach was just hurting so bad that my wheel fell off the curve,” she told reporters after leaving jail Friday. She explained the day was like any other except for the bad doughnut she ate from the school.Police said she failed field sobriety tests “miserably” after callers called 911 to report her driving. She also claimed the sobriety tests were “hard” and insisted she hadn’t consumed any alcohol. She was booked on misdemeanor charges for driving while intoxicated and released Friday on $100 bond, according to court records. Her next court date is June 10.
