A man is under arrest for allegedly robbing two Israeli banks with an avocado he claimed as a grenade.
The clever man stole nearly 85-hundred dollars from the banks in Beersheba, with the avocado he painted black and a poorly written note. That note said he would throw the "grenade" if the bank teller did not put money in a bag he brought. She handed it over. So did the second. The avocado was painted black to look like an explosive.
Investigators caught the man, identified as a former convict who served three years for robbery, by tracking his cell phone. Then they identified him and his brilliance went out the window.
