Yet another Walt Disney animated classic is coming back to the big screen as a live-action feature.
"Variety" reports Robert Zemeckis is in early discussions with The House of Mouse to direct a live-action version of "Pinocchio." Zemeckis is best known for directing the "Back to the Future" films. Rumors had Tom Hanks eyeing the role of Geppetto, but that isn’t the case now.
The new project would be Disney's third adaptation of a cartoon feature in recent years. "Aladdin" and "The Lion King" were box office hits despite less-than-stellar reviews.
