Your phone is one of the germiest things you own. During flu season, that can be a problem.
The flu virus can live up to four hours on porous surfaces (like phones) and up to nine on steel and similar surfaces. That means where you put your phone at work or even at the store could be the difference between you getting sick or not.
If a co-worker is sick and even breathes on the phone, you could very well get sick if you touch it and then your face within four hours. And who are we kidding, we can’t leave our devices alone for four hours!
To keep the odds of not getting the flu in your favor, wipe down your phone with a bacterial wipe after it being in public. Go the extra mile with phone sanitizer. If at work, keep it in your desk when possible. Also, keep washing those hands frequently!
