An Airbnb rental in the North Carolina mountains looks to appeal to fans of the "Lord of the Rings."
A couple outside Asheville is building a hobbit hole, based on the homes of the diminutive shire folk from the books and movies. The 800-square-foot hole is mostly underground and comes complete with the requisite round door.
It should be finished and ready to rent in about two months. Co-owner Mike Parrish explains why they are building the homage to the movie. ’m not just a casual fan, I’m a huge fan. What we want is to just have an area where people can come and bring their kids and just leave with unforgettable experience.”
