Funeral Home Gets Busted For Reusing A Casket

A Tennessee cemetery and funeral home is being fined by state regulators for using a casket that had previously been used.

Records show Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery in East Memphis was fined 15-hundred-dollars by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance last month because they used a casket or part of a casket that had been used previously for the disinterment and reinterment of "a deceased human body."

In other words, it was dug up and another person put in it.

Memorial Park says it's working closely with the state to remedy the situation to the satisfaction to everyone involved.
