Coronavirus information is everywhere, but be careful what you believe.
Facebook and Instagram see the Coronavirus misinformation train picking up speed, so both platforms are policing content. Facebook announced it will remove false claims and conspiracy theories about the coronavirus if it risks causing harm to people who believe them.
Part of the content includes fake cures or prevention methods, or any claim that could confuse people about what health resources are available. That goes for hashtags too!
Going a step farther, Facebook will point people who post inaccurate info to accurate sources. Don’t be surprised if you see messages at the top of your news feed or educational pop ups.
