A 100-Year Old Leap Day Baby Turned 25 On Saturday

Saturday was another leap day, February 29th, 2020. It was also, technically, Angie Crognale's 25th birthday. However, in reality, it was her 100th birthday. She was born on February 29, 1920 but says, "I feel like I'm about 75!" Angie has been in an assisted living home in New Jersey since 1994 and spends most of her time with two friends who grew up near her. Ironically enough, the three didn't meet until they moved into the home. She also worked in the home's convenience store until she was 99. The homes activities director said that Angie is, "a bingo fanatic," and that she has helped call the game four nights a week for years. Her advice for reaching 100: "Be nice to everybody. Live well. Stay nice and calm. Don't let anything bother you. That's it," she said. "That is the story of my life."
