A 35-year-old kindergarten teacher in France lost his job last year because parents complained his appearance was scaring their kids. Sylvain Helaine is pretty much covered head to toe in tattoos – including the whites of his eyes, which he had surgically turned black. Sylvain says tattoos are his passion and he's spent close to 460 hours getting ink. He says he was really disappointed by the school’s decision to let him go and said despite his unusual appearance, he’s never had any issues when it came to his teaching. "All of my students and their parents were always cool with me because basically, they knew me," he said. "It's only when people see me from far away that they can assume the worst." Thoughts?
