In an unprecedented pace, Americans have cast about four million votes already for the presidential election.
The high turnout so far, shows there may be a record number of voters coming out for this election. In 2016 at this time, only 75-thousand voted early. The expansion of early and mail-in voting options seems to be helping people decide to get their ballot in ahead of November 3.
Michael McDonald of the University of Florida is the head of the U.S. Elections Project, which compiles early voting data. He believes about 150 million people will vote this year, making the turnout the highest since 1908.
