Brides and grooms spend months, sometimes years planning their wedding, but no matter how hard they try, or how big of a bridezilla they may become, nothing is bound to be perfect. And there’s no doubt a lot of couples, looking back, wish they did things a little differently.
Well, now some folks are sharing their wedding regrets, after someone on Reddit posed the question “What is something you regret not doing for your wedding?”
Responses include:
- “Making it a destination wedding with very few ppl. Woulda much rather made it better for few ppl than average for a lot of ppl. Having a sizable wedding is a waste of time, money, and energy!”
- “My regret is that I didn't hire a professional photographer, so while I have guest photos, I don't have amazing photos of my husband and me.”
- “I wish I had mine closer to home so some of my family could attend. We had a destination wedding and only my SO's family came, because my family is poor.”
- “Hiring a day-of coordinator. Trying to run our own wedding while being in the middle of it was impractical and caused us unnecessary stress.”
- “Skipping it and saving myself a second divorce.”
- “Cutting my mom out of it tbh. She ruined my day.”
- “I regret having a big wedding and not a small intimate one. Too much money wasted and too many acquaintances I don't really care about.”
- “I wish I’d spent more and got the dress I really wanted.”
- “Not getting a pic of me in my dress with my dog. 😞”
- “Actually taking a second to finish a whole drink or plate of food .”
- “I should’ve figured out the bathroom situation instead of just winging it. I could not go in my dress without significant help which took a while. So I almost peed myself more than once. I was jealous of the toddler in a diaper it was so bad.”
