National Craft Beer Week begins on May 16th and Vinepair has compiled a list of what they say are the best “small and independent” breweries in every state. Independent brewers are defined as those that have less than 25% of their breweries owned or controlled by anyone other than themselves. Craft breweries have been around since the 1960s and there are over 9,000 of them in the US, so here’s a sample of Vinepair’s picks and if your state is not listed find it HERE.
