A Company Will Pay $200 For Every Novel You Read

Are you a bookworm who loves reading and wouldn’t mind picking up some extra cash this summer? Then this may be the ideal side hustle for you. WordsRated, a website that studies and analyzes book content, is looking to hire some “bibliophiles-at-large” to read popular books. And the pay isn’t bad either!

“We give you books. You read them. We give you cold, hard cash,” is the summary of the job descriptionDetails about the bibliophile-at-large position include:

  • The lucky applicants will be paid for every title they finish, after logging some important details.
  • The reader will need to share things like the number of characters in the book by gender, number of sentences given to male versus female characters and how many questions were asked in the book.
  • The job is 100% remote and anyone 18 or over with a passion for reading can apply.
  • You’ll get paid $200 for each book you read and analyze. There’s no limit to how much you can read, so whether you read one book a month or one every single day is up to you.
  • The current focus is on the representation of women in modern novels, with selections from “The New York Times” bestselling novels of 2022.
  • Readers don’t have to get their own books, they’ll be provided and delivered by WordsRated.
  • They expect to take on between five and 10 people, with a goal of building up a base of 20 trusted readers. They hope the first group is in the role by June and a second round of hires will be coming in August.
