A landscaping lighting technician and grandfather was killed in Texas by a swarm of bees.
53-year-old Franco Galvan Martinez was suspended by a harness as he worked on a tree in a backyard. His panic was so bad that he kicked away the ladder he used to get up the tree after being stung. He remained suspended in the harness as the bees attacked. There were so many bees, they covered Galvan's body. The entire attack lasted for ten minutes. Two men who were working with him tried to help, but they were attacked by the bees also. Firefighters arrived and blasted water on the bees.
