Thanks to National Pizza Day Pepsi and pizza have been combined. And not in the way you think.
Pepsi and the Culinary Institute of America collaborated to create what they referred to as the Pepsi-Roni Pizza. They infused a new type of pepperoni with the brown sugar, caramel, and slight citrus notes that are what give Pepsi its zing. They did it by using a Pepsi Zero reduction instead of water in making the pepperoni.
It debuted in New York City last weekend and was limited, but what’s stopping us from making it if Pepsi doesn’t share it?
