The 30th Annual Newtown Heritage Festival is scheduled for May 27 and 28 in Stephens City, Virginia. The Festival is a celebration of the history of Stephens City from its days as the wagon building hub of the Valley in the 1700's to the present day.
On Friday May 27, 2022 the Festival begins with the “The Newtown String Band” performance on the Newtown Stage followed by outdoor family movie night featuring “The Sandlot”
Saturday May 28th events include a guided history trolley tour of Mulberry Street on Saturday. The tour is free but tickets are required; email NHF30th@gmail.com for reservations.
In addition to the history tour and museums; musical entertainment featuring local bands “Virginia Rain Bluegrass Band”, “Crosswinds” and “Souled Out” are featured on the stage at the Newtown Commons.
A Craft Show, featuring woodworking, art, blacksmithing and more, food vendors and local food trucks, are also scheduled.
There will be a classic car show at the old Stephens City School and a hometown parade down Main Street steps off at 2:00 PM Saturday
