Wynonna Judd joined Carly Pearce on the stage of CMA Fest in Nashville last night (June 10) for a surprise performance honoring her late mother, Naomi Judd.

The country stars duetted one of The Judds' most popular tracks: "Why Not Me." Carly introduced Wynonna with a heartfelt speech about the mother-daughter duo. “CMA Fest, we lost one of our absolute pillars in country music earlier this year: Miss Naomi Judd,” she said, per The Tennessean.“As a girl growing up in Kentucky, I idolized the Judds and wanted to be like them. My first concert was to see Wynonna,” she continued.“And I’ve always loved all of the music that the Judds made and feel like it is such a representation of the best of country music. So CMA Fest, please make welcome Wynonna Judd," she said as the crowd roared in surprise.

You can watch fan-shot footage of the performance below.

Last month, Wynonna reflected on the loss of her mother after hitting the one-month mark with a message on Instagram. "WHAT DO I KNOW??" she wrote. "I DO know, that the pain of losing Mom on 4/30 to suicide is so great, that I often feel like I'm not ever going to be able to fully accept and surrender to the truth that she left the way she did. This cannot be how The Judds story ends.💔."
