We told you that Sara Evans’ estranged husband Harry "Jay" Barker was arrested back in January and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after he tried to run her down with his car. Well, he has now agreed to a plea deal that will have him avoiding jail time. The former Alabama quarterback has agreed to what Tennessee prosecutors called a “best interest” plea to a misdemeanor charge of reckless endangerment, which means he did not admit guilt but agreed that the state had enough evidence to prove its case. He was sentenced to one-year probation.
