A swimmer is recovering from injuries being described as “significant” after a shark attack off the California coast. Police say the attack happened south of San Jose just after 10:30am yesterday and that other swimmers jumped into the water to help get the victim to shore. The unnamed man reportedly suffered injuries to his stomach and leg, but is expected to survive. Officials are now searching for the shark with an aerial drone and all beaches in the area will be closed until Saturday as a precaution.
