(Dayton, TX) -- A Texas man is earning a Guinness World Record for his Sonic the Hedgehog collection. Barry Evans of Dayton, Texas, has collected memorabilia related to the video game character for 30 years. All of his items were officially tallied at three-thousand-50 for the record. Evans bought a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis in 1992, and it's been his passion ever since. He credits the Internet for helping him acquire some of his favorite pieces in the collection that he wouldn't have been able to get in the U.S.
