A San Francisco couple received a ticket last week for parking in a red zone. The only problem is that it wasn’t a red zone when they parked there; the curb was repainted before they moved their car from the spot where they say they’ve parked for 25 years.
Jeff and Desiree Jolly say the city missed repainting a small patch of the curb because their tire was in the way. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency says the ticket wasn’t for the newly painted red zone, but a zone that had faded.
