“Joker” Sequel Gets Release Date

It’s a week of ups and downs for DC fans. After Warner Brothers Discovery announced they were dropping the release of “Batgirl” on HBO Max, or anywhere, the studio has announced a release date for the sequel to Todd Phillips’ “Joker,” which is now set to premiere on October 4th, 2024.

“Joker” won two Oscars, a Best Actor award for Joaquin Phoenix, and an award for Best Original Music Score. It’s also the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history, having brought in $1.07B in theaters.

“Joker: Folie a deux,” a French reference for a mental disorder that affects two or more people, is on track to start production in December.
