Ants Infest Woman’s Kindle And Start Buying Books

Brazilian writer Mariana Vieira says she hadn’t touched her Kindle for weeks while working on a book, and it wouldn’t turn on when she picked it back up. She blew into the charging port to clear it of anything that might be blocking it, and a horde of tiny ants came crawling out.

That’s bad enough, but a week later Mariana found out that the ants had been busy when she got an email congratulating her for buying the Issac Asimov science-fiction classic “Robots and Empire.” She solved the problem by putting her Kindle in the freezer, which stopped the purchases. “Maybe I’ll read the titles chosen by insects,” she said.
