Burger King has some big changes to their menu as well as some new store concepts coming soon. Some of the new menu items that have shown up recently include:
- Cheesy Tots – an alternative to French fries as a side item
- Mango Habanero King – flame-grilled patties, double or single with two slices of American cheese, bacon, mango habanero sauce and jalapeños with the seeds left in.
In addition to menu additions, the chain is testing a new store concept inspired by ones from Amazon and Best Buy. Some of the ideas include express drive-thru lanes for mobile order and pickup, dual drive-thrus with two sets of menu boards and restaurants that have above-lane conveyor systems that allow two cars to get their orders at the same time. Burger King’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International (RBI) is also testing similar concepts at two of their other restaurants, Tim Horton’s and Popeyes.
