(San Diego, CA) -- A California man is breaking a world record after eating 17 ghost peppers in just one minute. Gregory Foster took on the challenge in November of 2021 in San Diego, and was officially recognized this week for his accomplishment. Ghost peppers are one of the hottest peppers in the world, each one containing up to a million Scoville heat units. Foster said he's always loved spicy foods and wants to see how far he can push himself while spreading excitement for the ultra-hot chili peppers. Foster also holds the world record for eating six Carolina Reaper peppers in under nine seconds.
