Man Accused Of Causing Vegas Airport Panic Told Police He Wanted To Go Home

(Las Vegas, NV) -- The man accused of causing Sunday's mass panic at Harry Reid International Airport allegedly told police he just wanted to leave Las Vegas. The man had a flight scheduled for Monday, but says he breached a door leading to the secured side of a terminal early Sunday morning because he wanted to leave as soon as possible. An arrest report says he ran past employees who were trying to help him at the ticketing counter, shoving one woman and knocking her down in the process. During the struggle, he knocked over several line dividers. People started running through the terminal after the line dividers hit the floor, thinking the loud banging sound was gunshots. The man was arrested at the airport Saturday as well after allegedly breaching a TSA checkpoint, then walking into a store and stealing sunglasses.
