Speeding Drivers Hit California House 23 Times Over Past 50 Years

(San Jose, CA) -- A Silicon Valley homeowner wants the City of San Jose to do something after speeding cars have crashed onto his property nearly two-dozen times over the past five decades. Ray Minter moved into his house in 1960 and he says since 1972, 23 people have crashed onto his property. He blames it on the fact that an off-ramp from a freeway built in 1972 leads to his street. Minter says drivers misjudge their speed coming off the freeway, including one who was going over 100 miles an hour and totaled his pickup truck when he slammed into a protective barrier of large rocks.
