Hyundais & Kias Recalled Over Fire Risk

More than 280,000 Hyundai and Kia SUVs are being recalled by the car companies due to fire risks. Among the cars affected are more than 245,000 Hyundai Palisade and 36,000 Kia Telluride SUVs in the U.S. with model years 2020 through 2022.

Owners of these vehicles are being told to park them outside and away from vehicles, with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) blaming the fire risk on debris and moisture that accumulates in the vehicles' harness modules after attaching an accessory tow hitch sold at dealerships. It can cause an electrical short, which may spark a fire. So far the car makers have reported 25 fires. Source: CBS News
